May 6, 2024, Jersey City, NJ 鈥 蜜桃影像 (HCCC) has welcomed Jamilah Moudiab as the College鈥檚 Inaugural Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for Veteran Affairs and International Student Services.

鈥淭he entire HCCC family joins me in welcoming Ms. Moudiab to Hudson County Community College,鈥 said HCCC President Dr. Christopher Reber. 鈥淪he will lead and support our DEI services for Veterans and International Students and play a key role in advancing our culture of care and our overarching priorities of diversity, equity and inclusion.鈥

鈥淰eterans choose to enlist in a volunteer armed force, taking them from their current circumstances and thrusting them into a world where the unknown is expected. International college students choose to sojourn to the United States for myriad reasons, each one worthy of a closer look,鈥 Ms. Moudiab said. 鈥淚 believe higher education is a true public good, and my mission is to promote veterans鈥 and international students鈥 stories and work to fulfill their needs.鈥

In her new position, Ms. Moudiab will oversee the development, implementation, supervision, and evaluation of all programs, activities, policies, and services for veteran and international students. She will provide vision, leadership, and strategic direction to ensure inclusiveness and accessibility; collaborate with multiple campus constituents; and lead targeted enrollment, retention and engagement activities including community-building programs and celebrations for veteran and international students. She will also help cultivate a welcoming and inclusive environment, and develop workshop and other professional development opportunities.

A dedicated higher education professional, Ms. Moudiab served as Director of International Admissions and Programs at Felician University; Senior Director for Global Initiatives at New Jersey City University; International Admissions and Student Services Coordinator for Bloomfield College; International Student Advisor and Application Manager at The New School; and Enrollment Associate at Rutgers University.
