February 23, 2018, Jersey City, NJ - 蜜桃影像 (HCCC) President Glen Gabert, Ph.D. announced today that the College鈥檚 Board of Trustees will formally dedicate the banquet room in the HCCC Culinary Conference Center in honor of Joseph D. Sansone. The dedication ceremony will take place on Monday, February 26, 2018 at 3 p.m. in the HCCC Culinary Conference Center at 161 Newkirk Street in Jersey City.
Mr. Sansone, the College鈥檚 Vice President for Planning and Development and Assistant to the President, will retire from the College on February 28, 2018. A lifelong resident of Hudson County, he attended Rutgers College and graduated from The American Institute of Banking. Mr. Sansone鈥檚 career, which spans more than 50 years, began at First Jersey National Bank in Jersey City (which was later acquired by Natwest Bank), where he held senior positions in retail banking. In addition, he spent several years at ChaseMellon Shareholder Services as a Vice President of Correspondence and Lost Securities.
In 2001, Mr. Sansone joined 蜜桃影像 as Executive Director of the College Foundation and as Vice President for Development and Assistant to the President. Under his leadership, the HCCC Foundation has raised more than $6,000,000, and awarded more than 1,625 scholarships totaling over $2,650,000 to deserving students. The Foundation funds programs that help incoming students prepare to succeed in their college work as well as cultural enrichment events for the entire community. The Foundation Art Collection, which was established in 2006, now includes over 1,000 works of art, most by nationally and internationally renowned artists.
HCCC Board of Trustees Chair William J. Netchert, Esq. noted that Mr. Sansone has served the College with distinction. Mr. Netchert said: 鈥淛oseph Sansone has been tireless in his efforts on behalf of the College鈥檚 students. Under his leadership, the HCCC Foundation has flourished and grown in a way that benefits all the people of Hudson County and especially our 蜜桃影像 students. I know I speak on behalf of the entire Board of Trustees when I say that we are very grateful to Joe, and wish him the very best.鈥
鈥淛oe Sansone has been an integral part of the College鈥檚 administration,鈥 said Dr. Gabert, noting that Mr. Sansone has been active in several community and professional organizations all of his adult life. The organizations include Hudson Hospice, Rotary Club of Jersey City-Daybreak, the American Conference on Diversity, Securities Information Center of the SEC Lost Securities Program - New York, Institutional Advancement Affinity Group of the New Jersey Council of County Colleges, Destination Jersey City, Northeast Jersey Bankers Association, West Hudson/South Bergen Optimist Club, Pavonia Girl Scout Council, Hoboken Salvation Army, and Hoboken Kiwanis.
